A Reputation for Excellence
First established in April of 1976 by the Terziev Family, The Village Restaurant now has three generations who proudly take part in our family-owned and -operated business: Gus and Chrisula Terziev, their grown children Chris, Mary and Debbie and now their spouses and children. Throughout the past 40 years, our full-service family restaurant has built a reputation for excellence with our homemade food, friendly customer service and a trusted, homey environment. Even staff members and patrons who aren’t related are treated like family here.
We Added a Party Room in 2005
In 2005, The Village Restaurant expanded our dining area, creating a much-needed party room we dubbed Chelisha’s. Big enough to comfortably fit groups (up to 24 guests), this room allows people the privacy and independence to host parties on their own. Everything from birthdays and anniversaries to retirement and religious celebrations has been celebrated in style in Chelisha’s. We have both the necessary room and warm, inviting ambience to accommodate your next special event. Contact us today to book reservations!
Recently Renovated in Summer 2015
We underwent an amazing transformation in the summer of 2015. We’ve added a four-foot clock on the front of our building that has made this corner a great focus. The Olde Stoney Creek downtown has also recently undergone a full street infrastructure and beautification project, making this city an exciting destination, especially with Stoney Creek being steeped in rich 1812 history.
Stop by The Penalty Box or Karlee’s & Chippy’s
If you have a group of coworkers or friends looking for something fun to do after your meal, be sure to head next door to The Penalty Box or just two doors down to Karlee’s Bar. Live bands are featured monthly. You can also play a game of pool, relax on the outdoor patio area or bet on the horses at Karlee’s Off-Track Betting Establishment (OTB). Located just inside Karlee’s Bar, Chippy’s Fish & Chips is also a popular attraction, serving pub fare courtesy of The Village Restaurant.
Sadly, The Village Restaurant, along with all other restaurants, have been recommended by the Ontario Health Department to stay temporarily CLOSED while the country gets COVID-19 under control.
Please stay vigilant with your cleanliness. The risk of this virus spreading is also very scary. We need to keep people from getting infected with this virus and to stop it. The health of you and your families, as well as our staff and their families is our main concern.
This has been a very sad and stressful time for Chris, Debbie & myself as Staff & Customers are also "our family" and we want you all to stay safe and healthy.
We will await for any further notice from the government. Hopefully it won't be too long!
Thank you all for your continued friendship and patronage.
See you all soon!
